The Solution to Reducing State Deficits is to Cut Medicaid? You’ve Gotta Be Kidding!
From New York to California, Arizona to Georgia governors are proposing major cuts in Medicaid coverage as one of their solutions to their growing state budget deficits. This at a time when the U.S. population is moving toward the day when 50% of the population will be over 50. Do our leaders really think the elderly, disabled adults and low income children will disappear simply because they cut one area of the budget? You’ve got to be kidding?
